Utrecht is a good city for shopping. Renewed Hoog Catharijne is a fine indoor shopping mall, with all mainstream shops and a nice food court. Though, do reserve sufficient time to stroll over Oudegracht, the nice shopping streets Zadelstraat, Lijnmarkt and Twijnstraat, and to go boutique shopping in the smaller side streets. In this blog I'll give you tips about my favourite shopping streets.

Zadelstraat is a broad shopping street leading straight to Dom Tower. Hence it’s shopping with a view. On the corner, gift shop Keck & Lisaalso sells many housing items. From laundry baskets to tableware, and from little games to trendy notebooks. Next to Keck & Lisa you’ll find fairtrade clothes at Nukuhiva, and a bit further in the street you can get your coffee at 30ML, a cupcake at I love cupcakes or a nice breakfast at Rabarber. Zadelstraat is also the street to buy Domtorentjes at pastry shop Theo Blom and Utrecht souvernirs at Groeten uit Utrecht.
Turn the corner for Lijnmarkt. In need of a present? It’s a Present is the place to go or choose a sustainable gift with a worldly story at WAAR. Don’t forget to bring a visit to Conceptstore MUS, Hip voor de Heb and Meesie.
Walk southwards on Oudegracht for again a fine shopping street: Twijnstraat. The street to go to for fine wines, a wide range of specialty beers and beautiful cheeses. With Things I Like Things I Love, Vollers 386 and Mooi en Belle also a good street to buy something nice for in your home. Fan of paper (postcards, prints) find your way to It all starts with a postcard. Besides, it’s almost impossible to choose in which eatery to go for your high tea (Stael), piece of pie at Keek or enjoy dinner and drinks at Ledig erf.
